Doulgas Nisbet nominated for ICAS junior vice president, presidential role set for 2009
Ernst & Young Scotland managing partner Douglas Nisbet is set for the
ICAS president role in 2009, after being nominated as the institute’s junior
vice president.
Nisbet, who joined the institute in 1983, said he was looking forward to
becoming an ICAS office bearer.
‘All the chartered accountancy institutes around the world are operating in
an environment of choice. I believe that I can help the institute to continue to
respond successfully to that in the next few years,’ said Nisbet.
Douglas qualified with Arthur Young McLelland Moores. He became a partner in
Ernst & Young in 1994 and was appointed head of audit for Scotland and
Northern Ireland in 1998 and regional managing partner in 2002.
