Newly created firm announces creation of new financial services division from the constituent arms of Grant Thornton and RSM Robson Rhodes
Former Grant Thornton financial services supremo Ian Gorham is to head up the
financial services group within the merged Grant Thornton/Robson Rhodes
business.
Former Robson Rhodes financial services specialist High Aldous will be a
senior partner in the group, as will former Grant Thornton specialist Ipe Jacob,
the newly merged firm has said.
‘The firm is pleased to announce the creation of a new cross-discipline group
known as the Financial Services group, which will replace the old financial
markets group (Grant Thornton) and financial services practice (RSM Robson
Rhodes),’ the firm said in a statement.
The group will provide practitioners catering for the banking, fund
management, insurance, life insurance and investment industries.
The new division will comprise of 13 partners and a further 150 people.
Gorham said: ‘With the inclusion of fund management and investment management
professionals to the team, the depth, scale and access we can now
offer our clients is a credible alternative to the Big 4.’
