Tony Lomas has already said that Lehmans collapse will be 'larger and more complex' than Enron or MG Rover - he should know
At the outset of the Lehman Brothers operation, Tony Lomas said he thought it
would prove
larger
and more complex than Enron or MG Rover – both administrations he worked on.
Following the shock administration of the UK arm of investment bank
Lehman
Brothers, Tony Lomas’ profile has once again been thrust into the business
recovery spotlight.
As the lead administrator for Lehmans’ UK and European operations, Lomas was
also jointly responsible for navigating car maker
MG Rover’s way out of
receivership.
He also oversaw company administrations for Tempo, European Home Retail – the
parent company of Farepak – and was appointed lead administrator to the
European
unit of Enron.
Lomas, 51, joined PwC in 1978 and was admitted as partner in 1990. He’s
currently chairman of the firm’s UK business recovery services practice, and is
married with two children.
