Governance risk and compliance software used by global accounting firms is acquired up by Thomson
Thomson Reuters, the global business information provider, is to buy up
Paisley one of the biggest developers of software which helps multinationals and
large accounting firms manage internal controls and risk.
Paisley’s internet based governance risk and compliance (GRC) software aims
at enabling users to to automate and control internal processes necessary for
regulatory compliance and is used in more than 40 countries.
Roy Martin, president and chief executive officer of Thomson Reuters tax
& accounting business, said: ‘Paisley is a great fit with Thomson Reuters,’
said ‘They have become the GRC solutions vendor of choice around the world, and
their leading software and critical relationships with key partners are highly
complementary to our position as a leader in providing compliance software and
digital research and accountancy guidance solutions for multinational
corporations and large accounting firms.’
Paisley is to be integrated into other Thomson Reuters software such as
Checkpoint and ONESOURCE.
Paisley software is provided in eight languages and is reportedly used by
many of global accounting firms.
