Sage Group sells tax business
Sage sells tax compliance and customer base to software developers
Sage Group has sold its North American tax compliance services business and
SME level customer to Empower.
As part of the deal Empower, the software developers for the computing
industry, will provide outsourced tax compliance services to Sage customers that
use its Abra and HRMS software, but not to the rest of Sage’s customer base,
WebCPA
reported.
A spokesman for sage has said that all employees will be transferred to
Empower although this figure is estimated to be less than 100.
