Swiss officials push for speedy end to UBS tax case ahead of a trip to Washington
The Swiss economy minister is urging for a prompt end to the legal
proceedings involving investment bank UBS in the US.
Doris Leuthard has made the call ahead of a trip to Washington, which she
hopes will lead to a better relationship over issues of banking secrecy,
according to ft.com
‘Our goal is to have a settlement. We don’t want a long procedure on this
case,’ she said.
The UBS tax hearing begins in Miami on 13 July.
