Restructuring expert announced as new FD of car retailer
AIM-listed company Vertu Motors has opted for a restructuring expert to
become its new finance director in an announcement to shareholders this morning.
Michael Sherwin joins Vertu from from Courtaulds (UK) Limited, a UK based
clothing supplier, where he just completed the successful restructuring and
refinancing of the business.
Between 1999 – 2008, Michael was group finance director of Games Workshop
Group PLC, where he also led a restructuring programme.
Paul Williams, chairman of Vertu Motors, described Sherwin as an exceptional
candidate for the role.
“We are particularly impressed by his experience of working in growing listed
businesses,” he said.
“We know that he will be a key member of the team as we drive the scalability
and growth prospects while consolidating our position as a leading UK motor
retail group.”
