Reed Elsevier CFO Mark Armour is joining the board of SABMiller as a
non-executive director.
Armour, who has served with Reed since 1996, was chairman of the Hundred
Group of Finance Directors between 2002 and 2004.
He also served on the FRC’s group that produced the Smith Report on audit
committees in 2003.
Armour will join the board on 1 May and will sit on its audit committee.
Lord Fellowes, currently senior independent director and chair of SABMiller’s
corporate accountability and risk assurance committee, will retire from the
board at its AGM in July.
“Mark will be an excellent addition to our audit committee, and his
appointment reflects our continued commitment to the process of progressive
renewal of the board,” said SABMiller chairman Meyer Kahn.
