CIoT wants members to keep them in the loop if they find any more PAYE problems
Continued problems with PAYE codings should be reported by members to the
Chartered Institute of
Taxation.
In a technical note to its members, the CIoT flagged up numerous problems
that had emerged from
HM
Revenue & Customs moving PAYE onto a single IT platform.
Currently HMRC was holding off from issuing notification of tax codes to
employers, who would be advised to use the 2009/2010 code for the employee
Because of this, in some cases those using company cars or vans might underpay
the taxman each week or month.
The CIoT urges its members to tell the institute of any emerging problems so
it can falg them up to the taxman.
