Former Unilever FD takes senior Tesco appointment
Patrick Cescau to step up to senior non-executive role
A former Unilever finance director has been appointed a senior non-executive
director of a major supermarket chain.
Patrick Cescau, who has held a number of finance roles including finance
director of Unilever in 1986, has been appointed as the senior non-executive of
Tesco.
He replaces Rodney Chase who leaves in July.
Patrick has been a non-executive director of Tesco since February 2009. He
was ran the Van den Bergh Foods and Lipton beverage and foods businesses in the
US from 1995 to 1998, before becoming Group Finance Director in 1999.
