Administrators from David Rubin & Partners have sold printing business
Bemrose Booth saving more than 100 jobs.
Paragon, also a printing company, bought the business for an undisclosed sum
and saved approximately 160 jobs, according to the administrators.
David Rubin and Henry Lan, both partners at David Rubin & Partners, were
appointed joint administrators on 28 June. They continued to trade the business
until a buyer was found.
Until two years ago the business employed 650 staff, although employee
numbers were reduced to 350 in the last 12 months.
A week before administrators were appointed, the business shut down its Derby
operations, resulting in 160 redundancies while 26 redundancies were made at its
Hull site.
