US SEC roundtable to examine international reporting standards
Investors, small public companies and regulators to discuss IFRS
US REGULATOR the Securities and Exchange Commission has unveiled its agenda and panellists for the forthcoming roundtable on International Financial Reporting Standards.
Three panels will represent investors, smaller public companies and regulators, with topics including investor understanding of IFRS and the impact of incorporating the standards in US accounting.
Panellists are drawn from bank managing directors including Morgan Stanley and Standards & Poor’s, alongside regulator representatives such as Gaylen Hansen, director at large of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
The roundtable will take place on 7 July at the SEC headquarters in Washington DC. Stakeholders who are unable to attend can tune in to the webcast or submit comments by post or email.
