KPMG administrators Colin Haig and Samantha Bewick sell work in progress to Griffins

ADMINISTRATORS FROM KPMG have sold insolvency work in progress from collapsed firm Bridge Business Recovery to Griffins.

KPMG‘s Colin Haig and Samantha Bewick were appointed joint administrators to Bridge on 1 July, following “significant irregularities” at the firm.

Cases for which the lead insolvency practitioner (IP) was James Brandney, former co-founder and partner of Bridge, have been bought by Griffins.

“A block transfer order has been made, and the newly appointed insolvency practitioners on all the cases transferred are Stephen Hunt and Timothy Bramston of Griffins,” a statement from Hunt (pictured) said.

Tony Murphy, also former co-founder and partner of Bridge, has joined Harrisons and has taken cases for which he is lead IP with him following the firm’s collapse.

The same applied to ex-partners and a director: Andrew Duncan, Matt Evans, Alex Cadwallader and Rob Horton, who all joined Leonard Curtis.
