Tai Chi your audit
Auditors have been asked to go back to basics and think about whether doubt and trust are absolute concepts!
Auditors have been asked to go back to basics and think about whether doubt and trust are absolute concepts!
THE ACCOUNTING PRACTICES BOARD recently published its guide to professional scepticism.
Auditors must think about their heritage into the profession including the origins of the word sceptic – derived from the Greek word skepsis meaning examination or inquiry into.
Not only that but it seems as though Chinese philosophy or even Bruce Lee may have been channelled by the APB which wrote… “Neither doubt nor trust need be absolute. Each has expression in different degrees.
“Uncertainty lies between them and absolute trust (belief) and absolute distrust
(disbelief) are at their extremes. Doubt, trust and uncertainty are passive concepts –
states of mind.”
TS was suddenly left with the urge to participate in a spot of Tai Chi to centre ourselves through deep breathing and meditation.
