THE FRC has appointed Mark Armour, chief financial officer of Reed Elsevier, to its board as of 2 July.
Armour, who has served as CFO since 1996, retires from Reed Elsevier at the end of the year.
From 2002 to 2004, he was chairman of The Hundred Group of Finance Directors. He was also a member of the Finance and Reporting Working Group of the government’s Company Law Steering Group, and a member of the group appointed by the FRC which produced the Smith Report on Audit Committees in 2003.
