Recovery head Carl Jackson to leave RSM Tenon

RSM Tenon's head of recovery and member of the national management team will step down this month

RSM TENON has announced that Carl Jackson will step down as national corporate recovery head for the firm.

Jackson (pictured) is due to step down from the company “to pursue other interests”. As well as being head of corporate recovery, Jackson has served as a member of the firm’s national management team – working his way up the ladder during nearly 22 years with the business.

He is succeeded by Chris Ratten, previously head of the north for the recovery team, who takes responsibility for the division and has been working this role since the start of the month.

Ratten was previously partner in corporate recovery. He joined RSM Tenon’s legacy firm Lathams and spent the first five years of his professional career as an auditor working with SMEs and group businesses. He joined the recovery and restructuring division of the business in 1998, taking appointments from 2004.

RSM Tenon’s CEO Chris Merry said: “Chris’ appointment comes at a very important time for the firm. He has experience in advising a whole range of clients from assessing their positions through to drawing up strategies to meet their business objectives or ensure their survival.”

In the last year, Ratten was appointed administrator to Liverpool- and Anan-based chemical manufacturing business Phoenix Chemicals, and Harvey World Travel, which had a network of about 70 travel agents.
