Sage announces first cloud business management program for small businesses
SAGE HAS announced its first online business management suite for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The financial software giant has released Sage 200 v2013 which was developed on the Microsoft’s online (cloud) platform. The product allows users to choose how they deploy, pay, and customise their software, with the technology available both online and on-premise.
Having run a pilot version of the software earlier this year, Sage has so far more than 30 of the company’s business partners have signed up.
“At Sage we’re extremely proud to be able to offer our small and growing business customers’ unrivalled flexibility and choice: the choice of accurate, timely financial data and the choice of an on premise or cloud-based solution that frees up their data so they can access it anytime, anywhere,” said the company’s small & medium business division MD Steve Attwell (pictured).
“With the option to pay monthly for the services they need, Sage 200 v2013 gives SMB customers a solution that can be used anywhere in the world and can grow with the business while keeping costs aligned with usage needs.”
Last year announced the partnership with Microsoft in May last year following criticism that it was late to the game in offering online products.
In Janauary 2011 the FTSE 100 business launched SageOne, a cloud product, that allowed accountants and clients to access company data. However, that product was not rolled out in the US, which has the most rapid take-up of internet based software and it was criticised for being too basic.
