Jonathan Cohen, 54, of Pinner, and co-founder of firm Brett Adams, has been charged with fraudulent trading and conspiracy to conceal criminal property. He has been bailed to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 25 September.
An investigation, Operation Hornet, had been carried out by the Economic Crime Unit into alleged offences that originated from HBOS’ impaired assets team in Reading.
The nine other defendants include former senior managers at HBOS, Lynden Scourfield, 50, and Mark Dobson, 52.
Cohen is a previous finance director of AIM-listed investment company Caplay, and had recently served as FD at Newmarket Investments.
