Saffery Champness strengthens senior management team
The appointments at Saffery come as the firm marks its 160th anniversary in 2015
SAFFERY CHAMPNESS has strengthened its senior management team with a number of new appointments.
Ben Bennett joins as executive partner and will assume specific responsibility for marketing, HR, IT, information & systems and facilities, among other duties. Formerly a partner in the property and legal sectors, Bennett was most recently a chief operating officer at law firm Farrer & Co since 2008.
Julia Paulding, the firm’s currently head of learning and development becomes the new head of HR after 17 years at Saffery Champness, and will take over from Nigel Boniface when he retires in March. Nick Fernyhough and Mike Hodges – both partners at the firm – will take up new roles as the heads of office in Bournemouth and Manchester, respectively.

The appointments come as the firm marks its 160th anniversary in 2015 and continues to grow. Safferys is ranked 12 in the Accountancy Age Top 50+50 Survey, with £65m in fee income.
