FTSE 250 builder WS Atkins has appointed KPMG as its auditor for the financial year ending 31 March 2018.
A resolution to approve the appointment of KPMG will be put to shareholders at the company’s AGM to be held in 2017.
In a note to market, the company added that in order to “ensure an orderly transition to KPMG”, a resolution to re-appoint the current independent auditor, PwC, for the financial year ending 31 March 2017 will be put to shareholders at the company’s AGM later this year.
The company’s most recent annual report, for the year ending 31 March 2015, showed the audit and audit-related assurance work was worth a total £1.4m, down slightly from £1.5m in 2014.
