THE Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) has appointed Maureen Leslie, the founder of MLM Solutions, as its new president.
Leslie takes office with immediate effect and serves as chairman of its board of directors for the next 12 months.
A member since qualifying as an insolvency practitioner in 1997, she has served as a director on its governing board which is responsible for the management, policy and strategic direction of the organisation.
Commenting on her appointment, Leslie, an IPA fellow since 2008, said: “I look forward to engaging in the debate about how to restore the UK’s position in the World Bank insolvency rankings when the government consults on this later this year. I am also keen to engage with our membership and to ensure that the association offers them the support they need at a challenging time for insolvency professionals.”
