The top 20 UK accountancy firm’s most recent acquisition reflects its plans to expand in the east of England
UHY Hacker Young East, part of the UK accountancy group, UHY Hacker Young, has acquired The Young Company, based in Huntingdon.
The decision is part of the group’s wider plans to expand its presence in Cambridgeshire.
This acquisition marks UHY’s fourth office in the east. The Huntingdon office joins those in Cambridge, Letchworth, and Royston.
UHY does not plan to stop here. Growth negotiations are currently ongoing, as the group aims to acquire more firms in the east region to increase its reach.
Stuart Hutchison, partner at UHY Hacker Young East, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our new colleagues from The Young Company to UHY Hacker Young.
“The expansion forms part of a well-developed growth strategy for the firm, which we will continue to implement over the coming year.
“Clients of The Young Company can expect UHY Hacker Young to provide the quality of work and customer service they have been used to from Bob Young and his team in Huntingdon.”
This year, UHY Hacker Young placed nineteenth in the Accountancy Age Top 50+50 rankings of UK firms.
