Forvis Mazars has formed a strategic partnership with global sustainability software provider EcoOnline in Singapore, aimed at strengthening the firm’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting and assurance services.
The partnership will allow Forvis Mazars to integrate EcoOnline’s science-based ESG solution into its advisory and reporting services for clients navigating emerging climate-related disclosure requirements.
The collaboration arrives as Singapore companies face an extended timeline to comply with mandatory climate-related reporting standards set by the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
The solution also supports the national Green Plan 2030 and the country’s net-zero by 2050 target.
EcoOnline’s platform offers enterprise-grade capabilities, enabling robust data management, emission calculations, scenario modelling, and climate risk analytics.
Forvis Mazars intends to use the software to augment services including framework reporting advisory aligned with CSRD, GRI, TCFD and other leading global standards, carbon accounting for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, forecasting and dynamic scenario planning, and sustainability assurance with audit-ready outputs.
“Although ACRA and SGX Reg Co have recently announced extended timelines for non-STI listed companies to adapt climate-related disclosure, it is imperative for organisations not to pause, but take the opportunity to build capabilities to support our national net-zero agendas and be ready for mandatory assurance to improve investor confidence,” said Lai Kee Yin, Partner in Technology, Digital & Sustainability Consulting at Forvis Mazars.
“We consistently hear from clients that their biggest challenge is moving beyond narrative-based reports to produce auditable, investment-grade data. Having used EcoOnline’s solution ourselves, we have firsthand confidence in its science-based approach.”
EcoOnline’s ESG and sustainability solution, recognised as a Leader in the 2025 Verdantix Green Quadrant for ESG, was developed by environmental scientists, including a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and complies with standards such as the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1 and PAS 2050.
Sean Flynn, Regional Sales Director at EcoOnline, said: “Their depth of sustainability expertise and advisory experience makes them a highly valued partner as organisations in Singapore – a hub for global headquarters in Asia – work to deliver on the ambitions of the Green Plan 2030 and the path to net zero by 2050. Together, we look forward to supporting businesses that share our vision of a safer, more sustainable world.”
The partnership will also include market education initiatives, such as training sessions and knowledge-sharing programmes, to help Singaporean businesses understand and leverage the integrated ESG and sustainability solution.
The service is now available to clients in Singapore.
