ACCA launches new search for leader
ACCA today renewed its search for a chief executive following the collapse last year of efforts to appoint a new man to the post.
ACCA today renewed its search for a chief executive following the collapse last year of efforts to appoint a new man to the post.
The prolonged search for a successor to Anthea Rose, which has been underway for more than a year, was thought to have been over when the institute announced in November last year that it was appointing Andrew Hind of the BBC’s World Service. But Hind and ACCA failed to come to terms and the deal fell apart.
Advertisements in the press today (Wednesday) were short on salary detail saying only that it would provide an ‘exceptional rewards package’.
The original recruitment add pegged the pay level at £150,000.The job description, placed in the FT, says the successful candidate will ‘demonstrate drive and a real commitment’ as well as ‘absolute probity’ and be ‘a charismatic leader with excellent influencing skills’.
Early estimates are that ACCA will not be able to name a new chief executive before November this year.
