Fast food giant weighs up options and decides to be the latest US business heavyweight to leave the UK for more attractive tax breaks in Switzerland
McDonald’s is to shift its European head office to Switzerland which will see
the fast food giant benefit from the country’s more attractive intellectual
property tax laws.
The US heavyweight will make the move to Geneva in the autumn, the FT
reported, making it the latest big American company to shift its European HQ
from the UK to other jurisdictions.
Kraft, Procter & Gamble and Google have all made similar moves in recent
years.
