Acquisition of German and Switzerland-based procurement company will see KPMG create a global procurement services base for its member firms
KPMG HAS ACQUIRED international procurement consulting firm BrainNet Supply Management Group for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Bonn, Germany and St Gallen, Switzerland, BrainNet has provided consultancy services in the areas of research & development, operations, logistics and purchasing for more than 15 years.
Following the acquisition, which is due to be finalised at the end of summer, KPMG will create a global “Centre of Excellence” for procurement services for its member firms. The centre will be headed by Christian Rast, currently CEO of BrainNet.
“Clients are looking for innovative ways to continually adapt their organisations in response to changing marketplace dynamics. Optimising the supply chain helps to support this transformation and create sustainable value for their business,” said Klaus Becker, CEO KPMG, Germany.
