Recovery arms of BHP and Clough & Company complete independent merger following tie-up between parent firms
THE corporate recovery arms of BHP and Clough & Company have completed an independent merger after their parent firms joined forces earlier this year.
BHP and Clough & Company merged in April creating a regional practice with six offices across Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, more than 270 staff and revenues approaching £18m, which has propelled the firm into the Accountancy Age Top 50.
The firm’s corporate recovery divisions have now completed their own merger. Clough Corporate Solutions, led by Chris Wood, has merged with BHP’s Business Recovery and Insolvency team which is managed by Gareth Peckett.
Now known as BHP Clough Corporate Solutions, the team specialises in guiding businesses through all types of financial problems.
John Warner, managing partner at BHP, says: “Both corporate recovery teams have a wealth of experience in some very niche areas within their sector, so they complement each other perfectly. There is no doubt this union will significantly increase their appeal with both new and existing clients.”
