US-FOUNDED firm Prager Metis has expanded its operations in London with a merger.
Prager Metis, which was formed in 2013 by combining Prager and Fenton with Metis Group, has brought London-based Peter Bryan & Co into the fold.
Peter Bryan & Co was founded in 1993, and provides international and UK clients with tax structuring and estate planning advisory services. The firm’s four team members, including founders Peter Bryan and David Beech, will relocate into Prager Metis’ London office. Prager Metis currently operates in the city with three partners and 17 staff. No redundancies have been made.
“We are very excited about the addition of Peter Bryan & Co,” said Mark Boomla (pictured), managing partner of Prager Metis in London. “We wanted to expand by strengthening our estate and inheritance tax capabilites along with our high level tax advisory services in London. David and Peter bring a tremendous breadth and depth of experience and knowledge as well as a shared value of hands-on client service. It is the perfect fit.”
David Beech, director of trust and estate planning, said: “Prager Metis has a level of expertise, a growing reputation, and international presence that is unique to an accounting firm of its size.”
Prager Metis describes itself as a top 100 firm in the US, with 40 partners across eight offices. It also runs wealth management and IT consulting arms. The firm is a member of GGI, the largest of the accounting alliances and associations, according to Accountancy Age’s 2015 Top 40 Networks Survey.
