RSM appoints two new regional managing partners

John Taylor becomes regional managing partner for the firm's Southern region while Alex Tait takes over Scotland & Northern Ireland

RSM has appointed two new regional managing partners (RMP) for its Southern and Scotland & Northern Ireland regions.

John Taylor becomes RMP for RSM’s Southern region, taking over from Elfed Jarvis. Taylor, who has been with the firm since 2007, leaves his role as dual Office Managing Partner (OMP) for the firm’s Southampton and Guildford offices.

Chris Hurren will take over as OMP for the firm’s Guildford office, and Paul Anthony becomes OMP for its Southampton office.

The firm has also appointed Alex Tait as RMP for Scotland & Northern Ireland, who has been with the firm since 1996. Tait takes over from Robert Ross, who has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.

David Gwilliam, CEO of RSM, commented: “This is a hugely exciting period for the development and growth of the firm. With our breadth and depth of service and sector capabilities we enjoy the strongest regional presence in the middle market, and both John and Alex will work to strengthen and grow our market position in their regions.”

John Taylor, RMP for the firm’s Southern region, said he was happy to take over managing the Southern region during “an interesting time for both the firm and the wider industry.”

“I look forward to building on the successful legacy Elfed has built across the region,” he added.

Alex Tait, RMP for RSM’s Scotland & Northern Ireland region, said he was delighted to take on the role.

He added: “I look forward to working closely with the firms leadership team and my colleagues in Scotland and Northern Ireland to continue to grow and develop our business.”

“Our local knowledge and presence in Scotland and Northern Ireland, together with our global outlook and expertise, gives us a leading market position which we look forward to strengthening further.”

The firm also announced 11 partner promotions earlier this month.
